North Captiva Island is known for its pristine white beaches and some of the best shelling in the world. There are 5 miles of beautiful beaches to walk on North Captiva, two-thirds of which border a 700-acre state land preserve. Enjoy walking for miles and not seeing any signs of civilization except the footprints you leave in the sand. Many rare, colorful shells can be found along the shoreline. For more information on shelling, please check our "Shell Seeker's Guide" available at the front office.
Beach access is located on various parts of the island. Upon arrival, please ask our guest service personel for the closest beach access to your home and they will be happy to assist you. Please respect beach front owners' property rights and do not tresspass through private properties adjacent to the beach.
