It's hard to point one thing that made me go "wow". Rather, it is a perfect setting: beautiful house, in perfect location, surrounded by greenery. Great pool and the viewing deck is perfect.
Most relaxing vacation we ever had. Will come back.

Management was very responsive, everyone courteous and professional.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Big Easy on North Captiva. The home was the perfect size for our family - 4 adults and 2 kids. The pool & deck area below was a favorite of the little ones and the very short walk to the beach was just perfect. We enjoyed watching the sunrise from the top deck each morning too. If you are looking to relax and enjoy time together with loved ones, this is the spot! We cannot wait to come back.

The Big Easy created space for the best 3 generation family vacation, 80th birthday party and thrice daily kiddie pool party that could ever have been! We had originally booked a different property and ended up needing to change properties months beforehand. The whole crew agreed, we lucked out with the change as The Big Easy provide everything we could need and in the perfect set up. The yard and pool/deck is great for kids and families. Some toys were present and we left more behind. :) The screened in lanai hosted 3 meals/day, happy hour, review of shelling treasures and lots of card games. The kitchen is very well outfitted. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of extra blankets and pillow, too. There were some beach towels which was a nice addition to bath towels, as those got to be pretty sparse. We did pack our own beach towels and were glad we did. House is walking distance to the beach and a great location for exploring all parts of the island. We had dinner at The Boathouse and all agreed that it was truly spectacular! We were the rowdy group with a 5pm reservation on a Monday that clapped when The Chef came out- his food is subtly phenomenal- highly recommend! This was our second trip with NCIC and while travel now demands flexibility, we consistently felt like it was a special experience and we were incredibly well cared for. Thank you for all the services and for sharing such a beautiful home!

Bachelor Party Weekend

First of all, the house is huge! It slept 6 of us very comfortably, but can accommodate many more for entertaining! The pool area was great to hang around on, the grill was great, and the hammock was as comfortable as it looked. The pool was a bit chilly during our stay, but I think it’s just because it saw more shade during our shorter days. The sky deck up top was definitely a highlight. I was up there every night and under a clear sky it was full of stars since there isn’t much light pollution on the island. The kitchen was spacious enough to cook big meals and have a bunch of us in and out whenever. The house and grounds were very clean and well kept. The only downside was the house golf cart. The batteries didn’t hold a charge very well, even after charging overnight, and it died on us a couple times as we toon it around the island. We paid for a second cart since there were 6 of us, but if we didn’t have that, it would have left us stranded, and we didn’t even use it that much. Overall, I’d definitely stay there again as long as the house golf cart had fresh batteries. We all had a great time, and will probably be back when it’s time to get away.

Absolutely Wonderful

This house was phenomenal. It's well stocked and a wonderful location to explore everything that North Captiva Island has to offer. The house cart worked well for us - one tip is do not leave the key in the "on" position overnight or it may not charge like you think it is. Worked well for us during our entire stay. The pool was the perfect spot for the kids and parents alike to hop in and play marco polo and cool off and there is good shade on the pool various times of the day. Have a nap on the hammock and enjoy many locations to eat - two separate outdoor seating areas. We brought a portable speaker and enjoyed tunes where ever we went on the island at back at the house. The kitchen is well stocked with various pans, pots, blender, knives, plenty of plates, silverware, cups, etc. You are provided some bar soap but might want to remember foil or other hand soaps, etc. There was a cookie sheet and pizza cutter, full fridge with reusable freezer packs, an extra couple blankets and the house has at least 8 beach towels in one of the closets (wash and put away before you leave). There are a few portable fans and there are books and various games (checkers, puzzle, yahtzee, tic tac toe, balderdash, etc) under the TV. There are pitchers and trays for drinks/carrying food out, some tupperware, they provide dish washing soap and laundry soap, and the privacy between houses is wonderful - we hardly noticed anyone else around while at the house. It's just a few houses up Hidden Lane from a wonderful beach access to the gulf where you can put up your beach chairs (pick up from the front desk when you arrive and keep during your stay) in the morning shade or in the evening to enjoy the sunset - it was particularly calm when the wind was coming from the East a few of the days we stayed. The kids enjoyed playing at the Hidden Lane beach for hours and hours. Don't forget to explore down to the south state park beach, walk along to the south point and go shelling out on the sand bar, the best shelling in the world. Bring buckets/mesh bags to collect them. We enjoyed our meal at Over the Waterfront (call a week+ out to reserve) but probably the best food was right at home in the Big Easy. The Publix did a wonderful job with our boat pack grocery order (don't forget their famous key lime pie!) The house was beautifully decorated, the beds were firm and comfortable, and after so much exploring we all fell asleep early and quickly and were well rested for another day. Everything was clean and well kept and tastefully decorated, even more beautiful than the pictures. Wifi worked fine for catching up with email and using netflix for downtime. We highly recommend staying at the Big Easy and hope to be lucky enough to return someday. Thank you!
